ASCII Tools for ([[CP/M]]-80 were developed during ) are a set of tools for programmers and code developers, who want to have their source codes consolidated into individual ASCII files stored in the period CPC6128. ASCII Tools have been under development since 1988-2004 by [[KSL|KSL]]. The virgin name of the application was CPC-WRITE. The main task was to create a set of tools in order to deal with very large source code ASCII files, that were transferred from Windows or MS-DOS Systems to the CPC6128and vise versa. Their virgin name of the software was CPC-WRITE. In 2004, ASCII Tools the first simple version (v.1 were ) of ASCII Tools for CP/M plus was presented at the [[COM II|CPC Meeting II]] organized by [[TFM]]. Nowadays, The latest version of ASCII Tools have for CP/M 2.2 has been further developed and included in the latest version of [[Cosmos|COSMOS]] which can be downloaded directly from CPCWikiapplication. <br><br> In 2026-2027 a new version will be released for CP/M plus, which will support the combination of ASCII text and [[GSX]] Graphics, as well as the possibility to display very long text files using the page switching technique based on the extra RAM expansion.
