The [[SchneiderwareBasisplatine]] series consists (backplane) is some kind of several a [[ECB-Bus]] motherboard for the [[Schneiderware]] DIY projects series, which have been released in was published by german magazine [[CPC Schneider International]] published by [[DMV]]. The name "Schneiderware" was probably choosen due to its double meaning board has five 64-pin ECB sockets ("CPC Hardware" in computer language, or "specially fitted clothing" in german language). Aside from building for use with the hardware on one's own, one could also order printed circuit DIY boardsof the series), either fully assembleda 50-pin connector (for the CPC expansion port), or plain PCBs without componentsand 7 soldering points (for an optional power supply, like the [[Schneiderware Power Supply]]).

Unlike as for the other DIY projects of the Schneiderware series, the PCB layout has not been printed (in paper-form) in the magazine (though the magazine offered to send them to interested persons). Another solution would have been to buy a motherboard with standard ECB backplane (like [[ECB :File:Reichelt Euro-Bus-Karte.jpg|this]] sockets) which allows , and to connect up to five Schneiderware boards to the CPCs Expansion Port; with some small modifications one could also connect the boards directly to the Expansion Port (the motherboard is merely build an Y-cable-like adaptor without electrical components, so one doesn't really need it)for the CPC expansion port by hand.
