ASCII Tools for [[CP/M]]-80 were developed during are a set of tools that can be used in order to process very large ASCII text files. They can be useful to programmers, editors and authors who want to have their source codes or articles respectively, saved in a single ASCII file on the period CPC6128. ASCII Tools have been under development since 1988-2004 by [[KSL|KSL]]. The virgin name of the application software was CPC-WRITE. The main task was to create a set of tools in order to deal with very large source code ASCII files, that were transferred from Windows or MS-DOS Systems to the CPC6128. In 2004, the first simple version of ASCII Tools v.1 were for CP/M plus was presented at the [[COM II|CPC Meeting II]] organized by [[TFM]]. Nowadays, The next version of ASCII Tools have been further developed and was included in the latest version of [[Cosmos|COSMOS]] which can be downloaded directly from CPCWikiapplication in 2021. <br><br>In 2026-2027 a new stand-alone version will be released for CP/M plus, which will support Text, Graphics and Page Switching
