This is a list of some of the greatest games ever released on the CPC, as compiled by [http://www.cpczone.net CPCZone]'s Ritchardo mkII.

To decide positions, the review score each game has received from CPC Zone, CPC Game Reviews, Amstrad Action, Amstrad Computer User Amtix and Cent Pour Cent has been taken into account and an average for each game has been calculated - the higher the average, the higher the position in the chart. Obviously, this list is slanted towards British tastes due to the appearance of two British mags but if anyone has a list of review scores for any other publications then please step forward.

The only games that have not been included are those which have only received a review from one source (this discounts more recent fare like CPC Adventure and programmes that would otherwise have an unrealistically high position). To give an example as to why this is necessary the number one Amstrad game of all time otherwise would be Timeman One thanks to its ten out of ten showing on CPC Zone... Some high ranking games that have not been reviewed at CPC Zone have not been taken into account but hopefully they will be added soon.

The main aim of the thread is to provoke discussion and point new CPC users in the right direction of what to download to try the very best that Sir Alan's computer had to offer. Feel free to post decrying the concept or the placings/omissions of your favourites...

Some classic games are missing indeed (like Head over Heels, Renegade, Target:Renegade), and this goes to prove that review scores do not tell the truth 100%. Also, please note that this list does not include any adventure games, since these were traditionally reviewed separately.
