About the DD-only: The basic difference between the revision I used and the drive on the picture is, that the pictured one HAS a switch for DD/HD detection mounted, so it is not hard-wired in either way. You can still close the HD-index hole on your disks with adhesive tape. In order to make the drive DD-only, it SHOULD be sufficient to remove SW1 completely, or to disconnect its connections to the board. (Pure logic: C16 connected = HD-only, C16 open and no switch = DD-only -> SW1 opens for DD disks and closes for HD disks -> SW1 removed or isolated = it can not close anymore).</ins></div></td></tr>
