Genesis8 is the codename of Emmanuel R. 

Genesis8 was the name of the french BBS dedicated to amstrad. 

When Internet began to be more accessible, Genesis8 created a public anonymous FTP, including lost of stuff about Amstrad : demos, music, and so on. The FTP service was hosted at IBP (Institut Blaise Pascal, ftp.ibp.fr) that became LIP6 (Laboratoire Informatique de Paris 6). 

Genesis8 is also the "chairman" of the newsgroup  comp.sys.amstrad.8bit. 

 

In 1995, the mirror was small enouch to fit on a 100Mo Zip ; in 2008, the mirror fits in 319Mb (compressed).

'''Divine Megademo''' is a demo by [[Antoine]], [[Odiesoft]] and [[Mage]] of [[Garbage Performers]]

 

This demo contains Art by MaDe who was already gone from the scene at the developping time. The demo was released "as is" in 1996, since  Antoine and Mage had lost most of desire to CPC.

 

Among bad points that could be mentionnend about Divine :

- the menu was not finished : especially smoothing the landscape and improving ergonomy to avoid starting the menu from the beginning ;

- al least one part was never completed :  [[A Coding Lesson|A_Coding_Lesson]] by Antoine (and another part developped but never released) ; 

- texts from differents part were quite out of date (most were to be used only during testing). 

 

Did you know that the name Divine was choosen by Mage after Hughes Grant "met" Divine Brown ?

This demo contains no great code, just a funny game: if you think about a number between 0 an 63, the demo asks you 6 questions and print the number you were thinking about.

As in most demos by Mage, this demos includes pseudo cheat codes : esc, control or del were used by Mage to test different effects that were not automatically included in final demos.

This demo was also included in a second version of  [[Mage]]'s "Dragon Ball Zeta 2" demo.

The main effect in this demo is a "landscape" that differntially scrolls inside letters.
