Soundtrakker (Musizier mit mir) from [[New Age Software|New Age Software]] was programmed by Oliver Mayer and was one of the most used music tools on the CPC. In the UK it was distributed by [[Sentinel Software]].

There where three version released:

*Soundtrakker 1.0
*Soundtrakker 1.1
*Soundtrakker 128K

For [[Weeske|Weeske]] there was also a specialized Version of Soundtrakker 1.0 with an extra Intro with the Weeske-Logo and a modified manual.

Soundtrakker 1.x and Soundtrakker 128K are different in more aspects than just the amount of memory that is available. ST-128K is an improvement of ST-1.x, introducing for example additional effects. That's why a new extension (.128 instead of .sng) was introduced for the files that were created using ST-128K. The 1.x Soundtrakkers are unable to read the .128 tunes, while ST-128K is still able to read the .sng files.

Under some circumstances ST-128K is not compatible with ST-1.x tunes. When using very short patterns in an ST-1.x song, the song can be messed up in ST-128K.

Since its release Soundtrakker songs have been used in nearly all demos of these times. [[Tom & Jerry|Tom & Jerry]] released several song collections with a jukebox-like player. [[SymAmp|SymAmp]] allows to manage and play complete Soundtrakker songlists.

'''SymbiosiS''' has been founded in summer 1993 by [[BSC]] and the [[BENG!]] ex-members [[Alien]] and [[Prodatron]]. At the end of 1993 [[Made]] from France joined the group as a graphic artist. Unfortunately Alien and BSC stopped beeing active on the CPC shortly after the group has been founded. At the beginning of 1994 Prodatron left the CPC scene and continued on the PC. SymbiosiS was dead until 2001, when Prodatron came back and started the [[SymbOS]] project. In late 2004 [[Trebmint]] and [[Dr.Zed]] joined SymbiosiS.

BSC: Kind of a extended stub

KKB Demo (actually called KKB First Demo) is a Demo made by Tom and Chilly of KKB and was released in march 1990.
It featured a overscan screen with multiple splits showcasting hardware scrolling, animated split rasters, a hand-writing writer, tubular rasters and a big hi-res logo scroller on a very colorful screen.

The CPC-Klassentreffen 2009 (CPC-Reunion 2009) will take place from the 29. May 2009 to 31.May 2009 in Erlangen, Germany. It will be one of the biggest CPC-Parties ever. And we will celebrate 25 years Amstrad CPC with a big big party!

=== What's it all about<br> ===

Not only did the CPC groups keep dissolving quicker and quicker since the beginning of the 90s, but the contacts between CPC users broke off more and more. Now 25 years have gone past since the CPC era, and it seems appropriate to meet again.

We don't just mean a meeting of those CPC users who are still active, but we especially want to address the veterans who haven't done anything on the CPC for years, such as Groo, Weee, Thriller, BSC, DSC, K-OS, Crown, MTI, Section Jaguar, Marabu & Co. etc..

Of course normal users of the CPC and those who still work with the little 8-bitter are also most welcome to come to the CPC Reunion 2009. <br>

=== Just why should I come?<br> ===

Counterquestion: Why not? Most of us have met many nice people during our CPC times. Interesting, weird characters, cracking gurus and excellent coders. Scene celebrities and ambitious users... lots of different people - and you are one of them.

We're sure there are some people from your CPC times you'd like to see again to have a chat, exchange memories or just discuss the meaning of life with over a small beer or a coke. And others may just want to see you again. So take a weekend off and come to us to Erlangen! You'll meet old and young CPCers during a cozy party. <br>

=== What does Erlangen have to offer?<br> ===

Well... the CPC meeting coincides with the Bergkirchweih, a kind of Fair. It's comparable to the Cannstatter Wasen in Stuttgart or the Oktoberfest in Munich - but of course smaller and a lot nicer and cozier!

In the evening you'll be able to have a quiet sit-down and enjoy life and, possibly, one or three beers. During the day we'll chat and gossip. Those who want can watch CPC demos, have a spontaneous barbecue or keep an eye out for naked ladies in the swimming pool around the corner.

There really is no fixed schedule... "Come, have fun and be spontaneous" is the motto - which used to work pretty well for all previous CPC parties :-) <br>

=== Is this going to cost anything?<br> ===

Renting the place for the weekend and the food for barbecues, breakfast etc doesn't cost the world, but the greater part of the expenses that are going arise should really be covered by those attending the meeting.

Therefore the amount of expenses depends on how many people will come. The more we are, the cheaper it will be to participate. From experience we can tell you that the total amount per person is going to be between 20 and 30 Euros.

And just to make one thing clear: NO, there will be no student discounts on the entry fee or the beer :-) <br>

Pixel (David Carter) was a CPC artist, PD librarian, and member of the [[Conspiracy|Conspiracy]] group. He lived in Woking (Surrey, UK), close to [[Ratz|Ratz]], [[Doc|Doc]] and [[Hangman|Hangman]].

His earliest work was a set of wireframe animations produced with [[The Animator|The Animator]] from Discovery Software/Woolf Graphics. He then went on to create a series of MODE 1 slideshows ported from the Amiga (using a [[VIDI|VIDI]] digitiser), which might have seemed pedestrian in later years but were very impressive at the time. They received glowing reviews in [[Amstrad Action|Amstrad Action]] and [[Artificial Intelligence|Artificial Intelligence]].

He ran a PD library which, unusually, concentrated on quality rather than quantity. Originally named DPD, it was soon renamed [[Penguin Software|Penguin Software]].

Pixel suffered from diabetes. He suffered an epileptic seizure which lead to hypoglycaemia, and he died one night in the summer of 1993. The Conspiracy TV demo was completed and released by [[Doc|Doc]] as a tribute.

== Biography ==

His pseudonym sounds as a little french joke (e.g. fesse signify ass in french), and it was a mean to say that all demoes were not really serious for him. Gfx of Fabien production were issued by [[Stephane St Martin|Stephane St Martin]]. They brought together many demoes in the Cpc Scene of the 90's

After demoes, Fabien will try to make games and he will succeed greatly in this way. He released the famous [[Xyphoes Fantasy|Xyphoes Fantasy]] game, edited by [[Silmarils|Silmarils]], to the cpc world, which was using a lot of hardware technics (overscan, hardware scroll, offset split, raster)

After that, Fabien left Vendôme for Paris and has integrated the [[Cryo|Cryo]] company He has developped some games on the playstation 1 (like [[Robocop|Robocop]]) (list to complete)

During these years, he was imagining a new revolutionary game with a full universe in 3D. So he had leave [[Cryo|Cryo]] to collaborate for the creation of [[Quantic Dream|Quantic Dream]] company with this new conceptual game pn PC platform called Omicron, published by [[Eidos|Eidos]]. After more than two years of late, this game was finally named [[The Nomad Soul|The Nomad Soul]] with a music composed by [[David Bowie|David Bowie]]. Even with this late, the game was astonishing.

The game experience was not conclusive for him because the experience with Quantic was not really positive. So he finally leave the game world for other domains. A little experience in a service company for PSA (car company) and finally a little society specialised in multimedia application on cellular telephons (Symbian system) where he was really integrated and appreciated for his good work.

Fabien was passionated by travel around the world and discover new countries. He was involving a new passion with the photography. He was playing too in a little theatrical troup.
