One of the first 'almost' 3D space games.

Easily playable, with a dozen or so controls for flying a ship (the Centurian) against a fleet of Myon vessels (3 Types) which are invading the solar system.

Although not on a par with the likes of Elite, it was playable (and had an ending).

There were a few very minor bugs in the programming but these had no effect on the playability.

Tasword is a word processor by [[Tasman Software Ltd]] for the Amstrad CPC.

Tasword came in two versions for the CPC: One for 64k machines and one for 128k one, called Tasword 6128.

Although overshadowed by the far more sucsessful and powerful ProText, Tasword was highly usuable, if limited in the number of pages that could be stored in memory at a single time (3 on the 464 and 5/6 on the 6128).

Amsword, released by Amsoft, was a version of Tasword with the name changed.

The CPC's longest-running fanzine and user group, WACCI was based in Britain and catered mostly for serious users. Its acronym has never been satisfactorily explained. According to Jeff Walker, who was the original founder, he had always thought that name would be good for a magazine and used it without any intention of it being an acronym at all. (The official WACCI explanation is that it stood for World Amstrad Computer Club International)

As well as a (more or less) regular magazine, WACCI also provided a PD library (of mostly CP/M software) and a 'homebrew' library. Some of the CPC's best writers, such as [[Auntie John]], were contributors to early WACCIs. However, the decline in serious use of the CPC inevitably led to a petering out of publication. The last issue was summer 2003, issue 140.

Though WACCI was solely a paper fanzine, a spin-off disczine, [[EuroWACCI]], existed for six issues.

Doctor Fegg first came to public notice through a column in [[Artificial Intelligence]] ("The Fegg"). This was later picked up by [[Amstrad Action]] for whom the good Doctor wrote a short series of articles.
